Things to do in Gosport

Follow the Gosport Waterfront Trail eastwards to the award-winning Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower with its interesting insights into naval warfare. Walk in the opposite direction for the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, or head over to Little Woodham to step back in time for the 1642 living history village experience. Feel like shopping? Gosport High Street is just a two-minute walk away, or take a 10 minute ferry ride across the harbour to discover the delights of Portsmouth.

A historic city on your doorstep

A 10-minute ferry ride away, the city of Portsmouth offers a wide selection of attractions. Explore the outlet shops, restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment at Gunwharf Quays. Experience 800 years of naval history at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard or take a trip for awe-inspiring views from the top of the landmark Spinnaker Tower. Take a short trip inland to Portsdown Hill where you’ll find the Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson, and a bonus panoramic view of Portsmouth and the coast. Discover the beauty of the South Downs National Park with its fabulous walks and the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, where a stroll up Butser Hill will reward you with amazing views.
