Premier Survived the South Coast Storms

Date posted: Thursday 3rd April 2008

We are pleased to be able to say that with all staff pulling out all the stops, all Premier Marinas managed to cope with the record winds and tides of March 2008, with only minimal damage caused.

Our Marina Managers are always on call 24 hours a day but the nights of the 9th and 10th March required a little more beyond the normal call of duty!  Several of our Marina Managers as well as other staff members (a special mention goes to the Boatyard teams who had lots of boats ashore to protect too!), were out in the worst of it, braving the storms.  Patrolling the pontoons, checking lines, and ensuring no unavoidable accidents and damage were caused.  And we are proud to say that it seems to have worked!

As you are by no doubt aware, the storms in early March really were something else as highlighted by these images.  Other than some minimal damage caused - given the conditions - we think they did alright and hope you agree - well done to our marina teams and thanks for all your efforts!  Hopefully you've all caught up on your sleep now!
