Marina: Southsea
I trust that you have all enjoyed what has been a promising start to the season.
Just some things to look out for this summer at Southsea marina...
- New Office - Construction of our new Marina Control Building will start in June and should be finished by mid August.
- Summer Boat Yard, lift, pressure wash and re-Launch from £80!
- Upgraded Water points ashore.
- Communal area above refurbished toilet block, offering an area to sit with friends (or even make new ones!) and enjoy the view.
- Steak House- Pending council approval we hope to be able to provide you with alternative eating options this summer, with the old chandlery area becoming a new restaurant.
A few items that I would ask for your further co- operation with are:
- Dog Fouling- If you are bringing your pet on site, please ensure that you clear up after it. There have been a few reports that people's enjoyment of the marina is being hampered by dog fouling on the pontoons.
- Vacant berths- The marina is bulging at the seams and most of you have been very good in letting us know when you will be returning to your berth so we can make sure it is vacant. For those of you who haven't got into this practice, I would like to emphasise it is in your interest to do so.
- Recycling- We have taken steps to make the recycling points more user friendly. We are however still experiencing problems with people not sorting their waste correctly, we intend to take steps to try and prevent this, but in the meantime I would like to ask for your support in trying to make the scheme work.
- Fenders- Just a reminder that it is best practice to deploy fenders on both sides of your boat, when berthing in a marina.
