At the end of June nearly 2000 sailing boats took part in the famous Round the Island Race.All the Elans entered in the race finished in the top 574. Great achievements indeed.
In fact the brand new Elan 450 Hurrycane VI, which was only handed over two days before the race, and the first time the crew had been on the boat was the day of the race, still managed to fi nish 22nd overall... a fantastic result.
The Elan 410s also did really well in the race. The Elan 410 fleet is a continually growing fleet becoming more and more popular in the match racing charter market and you can see why.
