Marina: Port Solent
The planned renovation of Port Solent Marina's Bridgehead 1 on-shore facilities is now in full swing...
The project is still in its early days but you can see for yourself from the picture, the transformation is already evident. The main floor plan is now open with all walls, cubicles and fittings having been removed, showing off just how big the building is.
The project's aim is to achieve a better layout within this vast space, providing a more comfortable and ergonomic facility for our customers.
A greater number of separate shower rooms will be available once the project is complete, each will have a shower, sink and WC, obviously fitted to the highest standard. There will be increased ventilation and air handling throughout, and a back up system installed for hot water and heating to ensure that supply does not fail at peak demand times.
The new layout also allows for separate berth-holder and "event" facilities along with different access arrangements for each of the groups.
The external entrance will house a bright, warm and comfortable waiting lounge exclusively for berth holders use.
Managers and designers drew inspiration from other 5 star local marina facilities as well as taking on board customer comments and feedback gathered from a customer survey carried out earlier this year.
We are very much looking forward to unveiling the new facilities early next year, the program suggests the work will be complete the second week in March. In the meantime we would very much like to thank you for your patience and understanding at this time, whilst we carry out these improvements to your marina.
