The Moody 41 will be exhibited by Premier Yacht Sales on stand N5. Premier is expecting a great response to this new model as there has been many requests in recent years for a classic looking new Moody under 45 feet.
The Moody 41 Classic made her World Debut at the 2008 Hanseboot in Hamburg at the end of October.
Designed by British, long time Moody designer Bill Dixon, the Moody Classic is the new series for Classic yacht enthusiasts, with the 41C encompassing many stylistic elements of classic yachts below decks, including a high gloss mahogany finish and rattan doors on the lockers.
Conventional oval, chrome port holes and the option of separate bunks in the forward owner's cabin underline the traditional interior.
On deck, the high gloss cockpit combings and varnished mahogany handrails, solid teak foot railing and integrated stainless steel fairleads, give the Moody a real feeling of nostalgia and elegance.
The combination of all of these features with todays high levels of technology make the Moody 41 Classic a superb sailing yacht.
Not only does she have the classic look and feel, she has a very high build and finish quality and this is met with the design and technology to make her perform well under sail.
The Moody 41 Classic has a high standard specification with the German sheeting system led aft to the cockpit winches next to the twin steering. The standard self-tacking jib, with under deck furler and a standard single-line reefing system, supplement the sail configuration and allow the Moody 41C to be sailed short handed.
Moody believes that the 41 Classic makes what was only really ever available as a custom build now affordable and available to the mass market. The new Moody 41 Classic makes dreams of a classic yacht with new technology fully affordable.
The Moody 41 Classic is the first in the new Moody Classic series. The Moody 45DSe launched in early 2008 was the first in the Deck Saloon series, and was a real head turner. 2009 will see more models in both the Classic and Deck Saloon ranges.
