On 1st- 4th September 2010 Brighton Marina Yacht Club is to host the Laser SB3 National Championships for the very first time. The first-class venue is expected to draw in thousands of spectators from across the UK and overseas for what is guaranteed to be an enthralling 12 series boat race.
Brighton Marina has already proved to be a popular venue to hold the Class Nationals with around 50 confirmed entries. With so many talented and competitive entries, the standard of this year's fleet is very high and the crew are guaranteed to give strong performances not to be missed. Tuesday 31st August 2010 will see the launch of the SB3 Class boats as the fleet get some practice in for Brighton Marinas biggest event of this year's calendar. This hotly contested event with an extremely competitive fleet will be hitting the waters offshore from Brighton Marina on Wednesday 1st September as they attempt to tackle the exciting course that lies ahead.
With the help of their sponsors, Brighton Marina Yacht Club has organised a range of social activities guaranteed to make this a very active event, adding to the atmosphere of three days of competitive sea racing.
The fleet will be taken out of the water on Saturday 4th September for a recovery day where Premier Marinas will be on hand to lift the boats out of the water and on to trailers.
