Marina: Sovereign Harbour
This August Bank Holiday will see the 6th annual RNLI Regatta being hosted in Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne. Each year the regatta has gone from strength to strength and helped raise thousands of pounds for Eastbourne Lifeboat and this year's no exception.
The Eastbourne RNLI Regatta promises to be bigger and better and Premier is delighted to be sponsoring this year's event, so come and join in with the fun on and off the water!
Once more, the attractions, entertainment marquees, beer and wine tent, food stalls, farmers' market and the fun fair will grace the Waterfront car park located in front of the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club. Yacht racing will take place on 28th, 29th and 30th August 2010 with entries from all along the Sussex and Kent coastline.
As always the fishing boat race will take place on Sunday 29th August and while you're there why not have a go at kayaking, sailing a dinghy or even diving? This year the RNLI have teamed up with Sovereign Divers so visitors of the regatta can have a go at diving in their brand new dive tank!
Make sure you don't miss the ever popular rowing race with teams contesting to be this year's overall winner! And if you've ever wondered what its like to be on a modern lifeboat you can find out at the regatta - Eastbourne's All Weather Lifeboat "The Royal Thames" will be open over the weekend with crew on hand to show visitors around and explain the workings of a modern lifeboat.
Each evening is celebration time - there will be a marquee with live bands and disco music throughout the day and night. The bar will be open from midday each day selling real ales, fine wines and soft drinks.

If you're thinking about berthing your boat at Sovereign Harbour the regatta is the perfect excuse to come and soak up the atmosphere, Premier has organised tours around Sovereign Harbour on the day of the regatta for those who want to know more about the fantastic services and facilities we have on offer.
The format of the day is:
Site & stalls open at 10:00am
Races from 11:00am
Beer tent & BBQ from 12:00pm
Food & Party (tickets only) 7:00pm
There are 4 race classes, 2 PY and 2 IRC and the racing will be run by Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club in Eastbourne.
