Marina: Swanwick
Last weekend saw the first meeting of berth holders interested in forming a "Berth Holders' Assoication" (BHA) at Swanwick Marina.
The meeting was hosted by Peter Waring from the RYA who came along to chair the meeting and guide potential members in the formation of a steering group for the marina.
As a result of the meeting, a selection of berth holders have kindly volunteered to progress the formation of a BHA and the next step will be to rally other interested berth holders in order to agree a Constitution, elect officers, set a subscription and sign up new members.
This meeting will also be used as an opportunity to discuss various aspects of the marina services with the marina managers. Peter has volunteered to return for this inaugral meeting to help with the process and to report on the activities of other BHAs.
The date for this inaugral meeting is yet to be confirmed but it has been proposed that it take place during the week of Southampton Boat Show - Premier Marinas is happy to lend berth holders the use of their board room in the head office building at Swanwick Marina. We will keep you all up to date on the progress of setting a date.
