On 1 August 2010 Falmouth welcomed the Ocean Rowing Boat 'Artemis Investments' to the marina. The four-man strong crew and 23-foot rowing boat arrived at the marina following an epic journey across the North Atlantic Ocean.

The British-led crew departed from New York on 17 June where they then rowed 3,246 miles to England in an attempt to break the long-standing transatlantic record set by George Harbo and Frank Samuelsen in 1896.

Crew members Leven Brown, Ray Carroll, Don Lennox and Livar Nysted battled 40ft waves and survived a number of capsizes as well as a bout of food poisoning. Despite this, the crew successfully broke the oldest world record in rowing history by completing the exhilarating journey in 43 days 21 hours 26 minutes and 48 seconds; beating Harbo and Samuelsen's record by an astonishing 11 days 15 hours 33 minutes and 12 seconds.

On arriving at the Isles of Scilly on Saturday 31 July the crew then rowed 'Artemis Investments' to Falmouth Marina where the Premier team welcomed them following their long and prosperous journey.

The Premier team lifted Artemis on to transport last week ready for her return home for a well-earned rest.
