Marina: Brighton
The Brighton Marina Berth Holders' Association (BMBHA) announces its Autumn Boat Jumble, to be held in the Marina Square at Brighton Marina, on Saturday, 3rd November 2007.Open from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., the Jumble will be supporting the RNLI, with half the event's proceeds going towards helping the lifeboat crews.
It is 20 years since the '87 hurricane swept its way across the UK, and the BMBHA's Autumn Boat Jumble is marking the occasion, and is designed to blow a blast of fresh air through boat lockers, sail bags, sheds and garages, and give everyone a chance to pick up a nautical bargain or two. Whether it's a piece of old rope or a life-raft, someone, somewhere may well find it useful!
Pitches will be set up adjacent to the marina's inner harbour, near the Master Mariner tavern, and are only £5 each to Brighton Marina berth holders and BMBHA members, and £10 each to businesses and commercial organisations. The BMBHA will have its own stand at the Jumble, along with a display by the many fishermen who work out of Brighton Marina.
Other companies and organisations already signed up for the event include Avalon Marine, Dickies, Food by Capt'n Scott, Sea-Ventures, SMR chandlery, SailnetUK, The Citroen Bar and The Green Blue, as well as the RNLI Sea Safety Advisors. Bangles the Clown will also be on hand, providing entertainment around the Marina Square.
