Boat Dry Stack

Premier Marinas is pleased to announce that it will be adding a Dry Stack to its existing portfolio of first class south coast marinas.

Boat dry stack storage facilities will initially be available at Premier's Gosport Marina in Portsmouth Harbour, from the beginning of May 2010, with plans to extend the service across the group over the next few years.

Gosport Marina is the perfect site for dry stack as it offers 24-hour immediate access to the world-renowned boating pleasures of the Solent and Portsmouth Harbour. Premier dry stack customers will also benefit from an unlimited number of boat launches, free visits to other Premier marinas and a raft of cost-saving advantages as part of the Premier Advantage.

Cost savings and convenience aside, storing your boat in a dry stack vastly reduces the wear and tear on the hull, which in turn means that the need for repairs and maintenance is all but eliminated and the boat's residual value is maintained for longer.

There is also a big win for the environment because dry stacked boats do not accumulate marine organism growth so there is no need to use polluting antifoul paints.

All lifting and launching will be carried out by means of a specialist marine forklift that will lift the boat gently out of the dry stack and launch it safely in the water ready for immediate use.
