Moody 42 Aft Cockpit MKI & II (circa 1980)

There where two versions. The difference between the Mark I & II is that on the later version the companion way entrance was increased and the coachroof between this and the aft cockpit was lowered. Aft layout was reversed. Also an inside steering position was offered on the MKII.Fo'c's'le: There were Two berths, one to port and one starboard, double conversion was available, hanging locker and dressing table, skylight hatch. Forward Guest Cabin: To port complete with upper and lower berths, dressing table, drawers and hanging locker, skylight hatch. Forward toilet fitted with shower, toilet, wash handbasin and vanity unit. Chart area provided with chart table, drawers, stowage lockers and open plan to deck saloon and galley. Galley on port side of ship opposite chart table provided with cooker, sink with hot and cold taps, 24 volt refrigerator, drawers and locker. Deck saloon: U-shaped settee to port, high-low table, two place settee to starboard, companionway to main deck, and oilskin locker to aft end, access to engine room, fuel and water tanks provided for under open plan deck house floor. Mark I: Aft cabin (owners) double berth to port, dressing table and drawers aft, settee to starboard and hanging locker to starboard. Owner's toilet compartment to starboard: complete with shower, toilet, wash handbasin, hot and cold taps. Mark II: Aft cabin (owners) double berth to starboard, dressing table and drawers aft, settee to port and hanging locker to port. Owner's toilet compartments to port.
Moody 42 Centre Cockpit (circa 1980)

The Moody 42 Centre cockpit was based on the same hull as the Moody 42 Aft cockpit. Main Saloon: 'U' shaped settee to port, high-low table and companionway to cockpit at aft end of saloon. Centre dividing locker just to starboard of steps forming lockers and extra worktop area to galley. Settee to starboard at ships side. Fuel and water tank provided for under saloon floor. Galley: At starboard side of ship in passageway forming the aft most corner of saloon, abreast of engine compartment. Cooker, sink with hot and cold water, 24v refrigerator, adjacent to galley a large hanging locker is fitted. Aft Cabin (Owner's): Fitted with two single fore and aft berths. To form double berth, an infill cushion was optional. Dressing table, drawers, locker and stool fitted to starboard, also wardrobe to starboard.

Forecabin: 2 single berths in a 'V' formation; an infill piece to convert these berths to a double. Hanging locker, with a dressing table. Door to the forward toilet gives the cabin an en-suite facility. Forward toilet: situated to starboard this compartment is fully fitted out with a marine wc, washbasin and shower, hot and cold water. Doors give access to forward cabin and forward end of the main saloon. Saloon: 'U' shaped settee is to starboard with a single settee/berth opposite to port. Drop leaf dining table. Galley: 'U' shaped galley is to port, aft of the saloon. Hot and cold water. Fridge. navigation area: situated opposite the galley. Chart table. Aft passageway: Twin fore and aft single berths which can be closed off to form a separate cabin. Aft cabin: centreline fore and aft double berth. A settee is fitted to starboard and a hanging locker and dresser to port. A completely self contained toilet compartment is provided en suite to this cabin, equipped with marine wc, and shower with hot and cold water.

Moody 42 is based on the Moody 40. The transom has been lengthen thus giving larger lazarettes lockers and has increased the space on the Aft cabin. She has an inmast furling mainsail and furling genoa as standard. The Forward cabin has two large single berths converting to a double hanging locker, En-suite forward heads compartment, pressurised hot and cold water, a marine toilet, a shower and an opening hatch. The Saloon has a U-shaped settee to port, a second settee opposite to starboard, a large folding leaf dining table, fixed portlights mounted in hull topsides outboard of settees. Navigation area has a navigation desk, electronics and electrical distribution panel, chart table seat, and a wet hanging locker aft of chart table seat. The Galley has a centreline galley unit with twin stainless steel sinks and hot and cold pressurised water. There is a second galley unit outboard with large refrigerated icebox and cooker. Passage cabin is situated to port with access from the navigation area with one mid level single berth. There is a drop in panel to shorten the berth and create an extra hanging locker for the aft cabin, making the passage cabin into a dressing room for aft cabin. Aft heads are accessed from the aft cabin or aft of the galley and contain a separate shower stall, marine toilet, wash basin with hot and cold water. The Aft cabin incorporates a large central double berth, Lockers and a vanity desk on the forward bulkhead. The port passage cabin can be incorporated as a dressing room.
Moody Eclipse 43

With fully furling sail plan, twin steering positions and high cruising speeds under power and sail. Owner's Stateroom forward: Spacious stateroom with centreline fore and aft double berth, large hanging locker, opening deck hatch and top-sides opening portlights. En-suite separate toilet and shower compartment, opening deck hatch. Port guest cabin: two single berths arranged fore and aft, a hanging locker, opening ports, from this cabin there is en-suite access to the main toilet compartment. Main Heads compartment: marine toilet and shower, a handbasin with hot and cold pressurised water. Galley: U-shaped galley is sited to starboard, forward of the deck saloon, stove, a large refrigerator and a microwave wired to the shore support system. Hot and cold pressurised water system. Deck saloon: To port is the elevated dining and settee area and to starboard is the interior helm station with bench seat for two people. The helm station is fully fitted out with stainless steel steering wheel, engine and gear controls. Built into the steering console is a chart table. Aft of the helm seat is a sideboard unit incorporating a cocktail cabinet and built-in front opening refrigerator. Aft cabin: twin fore and aft full length single berths which infill to a double, locker, handbasin with hot and cold water, opening ports.
Moody Lancer 42 (Motor Yacht)

Object: To produce a motor cruiser of reasonable dimensions and cost, having a seaworthy hull, combined with good cruising performance, comfortable accommodation for 5 to 7 and uncluttered deck space. Accommodation: Fore cabin and passageway: Arranged with berths to port and starboard, with shelves above and locker under. A wardrobe and cupboard to starboard. Fore toilet: Toilet, shower unit, wash basin complete with hot and cold taps. Saloon and galley: Arranged with wardrobe 'L' shaped settee, cupboards, shelf and table to port, with galley and cocktail cabinet to starboard. Settee converts by use of the seat back to an emergency double berth. Galley is complete with stainless sink and a gas cooker, refrigerator, positioned below the chart table. Wheelhouse: Wheel and control panel is to port, opposite is the chart table with fridge under. To port aft is a double raised seat with stowage for warps and fenders under. Helmsman's seat. After toilet (as fore toilet) except entrance through sliding door. Single cabin: Berth outboard with lockers under, wardrobe forward, cupboard forward. Entered through sliding door. A second berth could be arranged above the present one. Owner's cabin: Single berths to port and starboard, large wardrobe to starboard. Dressing table aft with drawers under.
Moody 44 (circa 1990's)

Moody 44 was available in three different layouts. The roller reefing genoa and in-mast furling/reefing main were standard.Forward cabin: 2 single 'V' berths with infill to convert to a double, hanging locker. Opening deck hatch, en suite access to forward shower/toilet. Starboard Guest Cabin: Twin bunk berths. Hanging locker. Opening deck hatch. Twin stateroom version: in place of the Starboard Guest Cabin, this area can be incorporated into the Forward Cabin to create a large stateroom with double berth, settee and large hanging locker. Forward heads: wash-basin, marine toilet and separate shower, hot and cold pressurised water, doors from fore cabin and saloon. Saloon: 'C' shaped curved settee with folding leaf dining table, lockers and shelves, 2 built-in easy chairs with contoured arm and backrest cushions, opening deck hatch. (On the later versions of the Moody 44 the Saloon layout was altered to a large 'U' shaped settee to port with second settee opposite, large folding-leaf dining table with integral drinks storage and drawers, lockers and shelves, opening deck hatch). Galley: Twin stainless steel sinks, hot and cold pressurised water, large refrigerated ice box, insulated food store, cooker, worktops both sides, generous stowage lockers for food, crockery and pans, drawers for cutlery. navigation area: teak chart table, electrical distribution board with circuit breakers, chart table seat. Port passage cabin: twin berths, hanging locker, opening portlight. Aft stateroom: large central double berth, opening portlights in hull and cabin side, angled aft facing window, opening deck hatch, settee, hanging locker, stowage locker, dressing table with mirror, en suite shower/toilet compartment with marine wc, wash-basin, shower, opening portlight. Dressing room option: in place of the Port Passage Cabin, this area can be incorporated into the Aft Stateroom to create a larger stateroom with separate dressing area, additional hanging lockers, shelves and drawers.

Teak laid decks, large centre cockpit, wheel steering. The racing version is available only as a sloop. Forward cabin: Two berths. Forward toilet: Shower unit, basin and a WC. Saloon: 'U' shape settee to port with stowage lockers above, a straight settee to starboard at sitting height and a pilot berth neatly arranged at higher level. navigation compartment to port: Chart table looking forward incorporating chart stowage drawer and a full-length berth is incorporated. Forward end of the berth forms the navigators seat. Galley to starboard: 'U' shape work top, cooker, stainless steel sink is on the forward return end of galley. Passageway on starboard side: Full length wardrobe immediately aft of the galley and a single berth is borrowed through into the aft cabin open to the passage only. Aft cabin contains two berths and an abundance of stowage space and also has its own toilet compartment.
Moody Grenadier 134

Hull and deck mouldings in GRP, decks in GRP, sandwich construction with a complete teak laid deck as standard. Fo'c's'le: wardrobes and locker, infill section to fit between two forward berths converting into a double. Double cabin to starboard: Higher and lower berths, wardrobe and dressing table with drawers under. Cabin door opening into passageway. Forward passageway. Forward toilet: Fitted with shower, wash basin, and marine toilet. Main Saloon: A spacious main saloon the full width of the ship, incorporating two L-shaped settees with a portable infill cushion forming seating around the two sides and forward end of cabin. Two fixed tables as standard in front of each settee with fold over leaf connecting the two tables to form maximum dining area. The floor is at such a level that you can see out of the coaming windows when stood up and out of the port lights when sat down. The chart table is located to port aft of the settee looking forward. The main companionway steps are amidships clear of the forward end of engine casing, which forms an extra work top area, entrance to the engine room through the full height door to port on aft saloon bulkhead. Galley and passageway: Galley situated to starboard of engine in main passageway to aft cabin, refrigerator, two sinks, gas cooker, a small oilskin locker in passageway amidships aft of engine. Engine room: Situated beneath cockpit floor, main entrance being from main saloon on the port side of engine. Sufficient space to take to auxiliary generator, and to service main engine. Main owner's cabin aft: Large double bed on port side. A low L-shaped settee to starboard running around aft end of cabin, large wardrobes forward to starboard and dressing table amidships with drawers. Owner's toilet compartment: shower, wash basin, and marine toilet.
Moody Carbineer 44 & 46

Carbineer 44 was lengthened to Carbineer 46. This enabled the aft cockpit to be bought back further thus giving more headroom in the aft cabin. Fo'c's'le: Arranged with either one bunk to port with stowage locker to starboard or bunks to port and starboard. Fore Cabin: Bunks port and starboard. Dressing table shelf under. Large wardrobe on aft bulkhead to port. Fore passageway: Steps to saloon. Wardrobe and oilskin locker to starboard. Fore toilet: To starboard, with wash basin, shower tray, toilet, locker at ships side. Galley: To port, twin stainless steel sinks, cooker and refrigerator, stowage cupboard on the forward bulkhead. Saloon and wheelhouse: 'L' shaped settee to port aft of saloon with teak adjustable table. To starboard, lockers and seat. Forward to port, steering position, chart table arrangement forward of steering, forward window. To starboard aft, main control switch and fuse board in locker. Owner's accommodation: Bunks to port and starboard with lockers under. Large wardrobe to starboard. Dressing table. Owner's heads: oilskin locker and cupboard at ships side, basin and shower, toilet.
