Recycling & environmental Issues

Sewage Disposal

Sea toilets must only be used in the marina when pumped into a holding tank. A pumping out facility is provided to customers free of charge. Bilges should not be emptied out into the marina.

Disposal of Oily Waste

Facilities are provided on site for the disposal of waste oil, oily bilge water and waste oil filters. Oil filters should be drained into the appropriate receptacle before being discarded.

Antifoul Paint Tins

Please only dispose of empty tins in the refuse skips - and remove the lids before disposal. Part-filled tins should be taken home and disposed of in your domestic rubbish.

Batteries

A battery box is provided for dead batteries.

Boat Fridges

Please talk to marina reception who can advise on the safe disposal of unwanted boat fridges.

Flares

Flares which have exceeded their use by date may be disposed of at a chandlery, generally free of charge. An appropriate emergency service such as the Coastguard, will also take small quantities. Alternatively contact the manufacturer.

Oil Spills

Alert marina reception to any oil spills immediately.

Dog Waste

Dog waste bins are located at intervals around the marina for owners to dispose of their dogs waste.

Non-EU Food Waste

Please contact marina reception if you are arriving with any food waste bought or maufactured in an non-EU country.

Recycling

There are dedicated recycling points next to the marina office and in the boatyards for glass and aluminium cans.
