In An Emergency dial 999. Tell the operator whether you require fire, police coastguard, or ambulance. Tell them the nature of the emergency, where you are and the number of the phone you are calling from.
Notify the marina office immediately by phone on 01323 470099 or VHF Channel 17.
Strike the break glass point on the Emergency Box on your pontoon. This will notify the marina office and in case of fire will set off the alarms to warn other boat owners. The marina office will implement their Emergency Action Plan.
Do not attempt to tackle the incident yourself unless you are trained and it is safe to do so.
Please be aware of the position in the marina of:
- Emergency stations which contain extinguishers, throw lines, life-rings, first aid kits and thermal blankets
- Fire Alarms
- Lifesaving Equipment
- Fire Assembly Points
