Premier are really looking forward to holding the Elan Regatta from Gosport Marina 4th - 6th July 2008.
This is the first event of its kind run by Premier, who have been selling Elan sailing boats since taking over from Moodys in December 2005. We really want this event to be a great success, we want to give something back to our owners and hope the Elan Regatta will provide a fun event for all. Any elan sailboat, of any size or age can enter with crew of any age - so get in touch today - there is still room for entrants!
The event has been greatly supported by many marine companies. Major sponsor Raymarine has contributed towards the event and is donating prizes. Prize donations are also being made by Harken.
Other companies supporting the event in various ways include, Tecsew, Musto, Ocean Safety, OnDeck, and Mount Gay Rum.
We are very pleased to have Azure Dragon supplying trophies on behalf of Sail 4 Cancer.
Without the support of the Royal Naval Association who are running the racing for us this event would not be possible. Great thanks also go to Elan and Premier.
The event begins with the skippers briefing and welcome drinks at Gosport Marina on 4th July at 18.30 hours. Entrants can then later join the berth holders party for a drink and dance at the marina.
Breakfast is provided in the marquee on Saturday morning to get everyone ready for a full days racing. We are hoping to hold 4 races for the three classes on Saturday, starting at 10.00am weather dependant!
Then Saturday night is party night, join us in the Caribbean for some Mount Gay Rum, limbo, raffle, prizes and more!
Sunday will start with breakfast again before the "Best Dressed Boat Pursuit Race" - its an all in with staggered starts...ready, set, go!
And after sailing, there will be a prizegiving and farewell but if you wish to stay in the marina on Sunday night then just let us know, Sunday night berthing is included in the entry price.
And all of this for only £100 per boat (up to 5 crew. £10 per crew member thereafter).
