TERMS AND CONDITIONS

(to be read in conjunction with the Marina Rules & Regulations)

  • Your signed application is acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the Marina Rules & Regulations.
  • Payment of Winter Menu services must be made in full at the time of booking.                                                   

Premier 12 Month Berth Holders: must be the same vessel as detailed on the owner's current 12 month berthing licence and the berthing licence term does not expire before 31st March 2008.

Residential/Leasehold Berth Holders: vessels with a residential or lease berth at Port Solent Marina entitled to occupy the berth 1st October 2007 to 31st March 2008 and is based on only one vessel being in the marina and excludes sub-lessees (who are classed as visitors). 

Visitors: entitled to the Winter Menu berthing and storage prices when the named vessel is based at Port Solent for a minimum of 90 days during 1st October 2007 to 31st March 2008.

  • Once a vessel is ashore the pit props, boat cradle or boat supports must not be tampered with in any way.  These can only be altered by Port Solent Marina staff. Any requested alteration may be subject to charge.
  • Written quotations are based on the recorded boat length.  Any changes or corrections of the boat length must be notified to Port Solent Marina and additional charges will be made.  Premier Marinas reserves the right to measure all vessels to verify length overall.
  • Owners of racing, deep drafted, light displacement or non-production boats must declare any necessary information specific to their vessel with regards to the shoring and lifting.
  • Visiting vessels arriving before 1st October 2007 and/or departing/relaunching after 31st March 2008 will be subject to the standard Marina berthing fees, standard boatyard storage and service charges as published. Note: Special rates apply for the period 1st March to 31st March 2008 only - see 19 below.
  • If weather conditions, mechanical breakdown, circumstances beyond the control of Port Solent Marina or at the customer's request the lifting and launching programme is altered, Port Solent Marina will endeavour to lift and launch when possible.  No liability is accepted for delay.
  • If the relaunch date is altered at the request of the customer additional charges may be applied. Altered relaunch dates are subject to availability and may incur a movement ashore charge (i.e. moving craft in proximity). Should the owner fail to arrive on 'owner present' lifts the lift will be re-booked (subject to availability) and additional charges may apply.
  • Winter Menu berthing and storage rates for catamarans / trimarans will be charged at 1½ times the monohull rate.
  • Berthing for visitors, during their relaunch week, is up to and including the Friday night of that week. (Applicable up to 31st March 2008.)  Please note vessels will be rafted when necessary.

Note: Special rates apply for the period 1st March to 31st March 2008 only - see 19 below.           

  • An independent rigging contractor will be used to unstep and step masts.  The mast work does not include a rig check or disconnection of electronics. Sails are to be removed by the owner prior to unstepping. The stepping of the mast does not include setting the rig up ready to sail or reconnection of electronics. Charges are based on LOA of vessel.
  • Electricity and water supply is strictly subject to availability and is not guaranteed.  If an   electricity supply is allocated, owners are responsible for providing sufficient cable length of adequate rating. Premier Marinas reserves the right to remove unsuitable cables and fittings. A flat rate of £5.00 per week (inc VAT) will be charged for all power supplies other than those provided via 'Pay-As-You-Go' meter points.
  • Cradles are subject to availability.
  • The storing of masts in the racks is subject to availability and additional charges.
  • Premier Marinas cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to your property whilst vessels are ashore at Port   Solent and you are advised to remove all valuables.
  • Owners are responsible for making sure that their vessel is seaworthy prior to launch with fenders and warps available.
  • An additional charge will be applied to vessels launched outside of the Winter Menu period.
  • If Port Solent Marina is to skipper the vessel a starting/shut-down procedure must be detailed in writing prior to  the  lift/launch. Port Solent cannot be held responsible for any omissions.
  • Daily Rates for the period 1st March 2008 to 31st March 2008 are based on 35% of the following charges

Vessels up to 8m at £2.65/metre - Vessels up to 12.5m at £2.85/metre - Vessels over 12.5m at £2.95 per metre
