General safety advice


  • Be aware of the position in the marina of; Emergency boxes with extinguishers, throw lines, first aid kits, thermal blankets, lifebelts and emergency ladders
  • Report all accidents and potential accidents to the Marina Office immediately
  • Do not use the pontoons for storage of any materials, dinghies etc.
  • Ensure your vessels anchors and davits do not overhang walkways
  • Do not speed in the marina - No wash/5 knots.
  • It is forbidden to ride in the marina trolleys.
  • First aid is available from the Marina Office 24hours a day
  • Swimming, fishing and scuba diving are not permitted in the marina
  • Pontoons may be slippery when wet or icy and are not treated
  • Children should wear suitable life jackets and be supervised when near the water
  • All persons must keep clear of vessels and plant involved in lifting operations
  • Rescue equipment is provided for everyone's safety - do not misuse or abuse it. Use only in the event of an emergency and tell the marina office if you use any of the equipment
  • No bicycles, scooters or skateboards to be used on the pontoons
  • Always ensure correct size and quantity of mooring lines are used
  • Do not remove supports from vessels in the yard
  • Have electrical leads checked by a qualified person on a regular basis
  • Do not sail in the marina
  • Do not row boats in the marina
