Brighton Boatyard Set For Change
This week we will be taking delivery of a new boatyard building with office space that will enable our boatyard administrator to be permanently based in the boatyard.
This means the boatyard administrator will be able to work more closely with the boatyard team and monitor and manage the boatyard booking system far more efficiently, helping to ensure the team accommodates berth holder’s bookings on the day they prefer.
We are also in the process of recruiting a boatyard supervisor to oversee the boatyard and liaise directly with our on-site tenants.
Furthermore, we intend to complement this operations procedure with increased communication to our berth holders, in the form of text messages and emails to help keep berth holders updated on boatyard delays and important information.
Dan Heckford, Brighton Marina Manager comments: "Brighton Marina's boatyard has been the subject of some particularly negative feedback and intolerable delays recently. Bringing the boatyard administrator into the boatyard will bridge a communication and planning gap, whilst giving customers face to face continuity. We recently shared our boatyard management plan which was based on recent feedback and further explains what we are doing to bring our boatyard back to the standard which we all demand and expect.”
