Boatshed Upgrades Ongoing at Eastbourne Marina
In response to customer feedback received at the end of the last boatyard busy season, Premier are investing in upgrades to the boatshed at Eastbourne.
These works include upgrades to power distribution, with three 32 amp marine sockets installed alongside a 3 phase 415 volt 63 amp outlet for commercial applications at the South Coast marina. New lighting has been installed, both in the roof of the shed for deck illumination and around the internal perimeter of the shed to give even lighting around and under boats. CCTV has also been installed, along with new steel external doors with combination code locks. The refit project will be complete by the week of the 31st, with external cladding works due to start on Monday 31st July.
Eastbourne Marina Manager Dan Heckford said ‘The boatshed at Sovereign Harbour is able to house vessels up to 20mtrs, making it a valuable boatyard commodity in this area for commercial and leisure craft alike. We have seen an increase in the use of copper coat and deck works, so the shed, with its improvements, now makes an ideal all weather base for repairs or general maintenance. The addition of storage boxes within the shed with CCTV makes our shed extremely secure.’
