Pedestrian Bridge Works Underway
Premier Marinas has appointed contractor’s R & W Civil Engineering to undertake the redevelopment of the railway bridge – a £714,000 project that includes a new pedestrian footbridge, which will take pedestrians away from the road bridge.
Improving safety and providing access to the site when the road bridge is rebuilt in the autumn/winter.
Currently all overhead power cables have been removed to enable the pedestrian bridge works to begin and the appointed contractor is onsite currently clearing the grounds in preparations for the new bridge abutments to be constructed.
The plan is to have the railway bridge works completed by the end of the calendar year with the new pedestrian footbridge being installed by the end of August.
