Dredging Complete at Southsea Marina
The channel dredge is now complete and Premier Southsea would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding throughout the works. Whilst customers had to manoeuvre round the dredger, it was a feat that the marina was fully accessible at all times.
Approximately 7000 cubic metres of material was removed from the channel and has been taken to the Nab Tower for disposal. The marina was dredged to 0.7m below chart datum. The project was an investment of just under £100,000.
Rupert Bremer commented: “It is great to have been able to respond to customer feedback about the lack of depth in the approach channel – I am sure all users of the marina will enjoy the improved access!”
