Chichester Marina Pontoon Reconfiguration
Date:
In a new project scheduled to commence in July, Chichester Marina seeks to reconfigure J pontoon with 12m and 14m berths to accommodate larger vessels, following trends in modern boating and marina infrastructure.
The new finger pontoons are due to arrive in early July and will create twenty 12m berths and six 14m berths on the east side of J pontoon. This £65,000 investment follows a similar and successful reconfiguration project at Port Solent Marina whereby pontoons A-D were lengthened, renewed and re-decked allowing much larger vessels to berth at the South Coast marina.
Following contemporary trends in which vessels are being made much larger than before, Premier are investing in reconfiguring their marinas to fit this boating trend.
Chris Wood, Duty Manager, said: “We are very excited for the upcoming changes to Chichester Marina’s infrastructure, allowing us to accommodate more vessels of 12m and above. Hopefully this reconfiguration will bring with it a whole host of new berth holders and guests to add to and enrich the culture at Chichester Marina.”
