Dredging Operations Commence at Brighton Marina
Dredging operations have commenced at Brighton Marina and ‘Doris’ has already completed dredging the area to the south of the Marina Reception. The operation has now started working on the west side of the West Jetty for the rest of the season.
Brighton Marina now has two dredge masters (Ken Roran and Max Sinclair) who will work 7 days a week to increase dredging capacity. Doris' remit is to clear silt from in and around the pontoon fingers, leaving the entrance channel work to our specialist contractors who will operate a large ‘back hoe’ dredger, which is due to arrive at the end of May 2018.
This £150,000 investment in dredging this year alone highlights Premier’s sustained dedication to improving the infrastructure of the South Coast marina.
