Another Successful Marina Open Day and Boat Jumble
The Sovereign Harbour Berth Holders' Association (SHBHA), with assistance from the marina team, hosted a marina open day and boat jumble on Saturday 13th April. The event was a big hit again this year despite the tumultuous weather. Cold temperatures, rain and hail was not enough to dampen the spirits of those in attendance, who got to enjoy some brilliant bargains!
From fisherman to cruisers there was something for everyone with the boat jumble so well supported by berth holders, tenants and other marine based guests such as Bates Wharf and the HM Coastguard team who were on hand to help out on the day.
The RNLI Safety Team were also in attendance to check lifejackets for free and reported that they only found minor faults this year from those that they inspected – the checks therefore were still well worth the peace of mind! Sasha Knott, Sovereign Harbour Marina Customer Services Representative was also present to speak to as well as members of The Berth Holder’s Association and the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club (SHYC).
