Pontoon Regeneration Work
Falmouth Marina has recently placed a significant order with Walcon Marine, Premier’s preferred pontoon supplier, for £21,000’s worth of new pontoon equipment. Included in the order was a large stock of deckboards that will be used to maintain walkways and finger pontoons, one 10m finger to replace an old finger on D pontoon that was damaged in a storm earlier in the year. There was also a small economy finger delivered which will be used to segregate the dinghy berthing area, plus a stock of pontoon connecting bolts and cleats.
This delivery means that the marina team can continue to update and improve the pontoon infrastructure to ensure the marina is up to Premier standards. This work is part of an ongoing project which will continue into 2020 maintain and improve the floating marina.
Falmouth Marina Manager Mark Evans said, “This is important work that we carry out during the off-season to avoid disruption to berth holders and ensure that the facilities at the marina are safe and well maintained ready for the busier periods.”
