Dredging Updates At Brighton
Our dredging programme at Brighton Marina is progressing well with Doris the dredger currently working hard to finish dredging the area between pontoons 8 and 10. On completion of this Doris will dredge between pontoons 13 and 14, working her way down the east side of the West Jetty. Premier Brighton has also contracted ML Dredging to dredge the marina entrance channel and other identified areas within the marina basin to help support Doris and the dredging team.
This work is part of a substantial ongoing investment in the dredging of Brighton Marina, in an effort to reduce silt levels and improve the depth of the marina basin for the benefit of all berth holders and visitors to the marina. Premier also has additional support from Marina Projects Ltd. having commissioned them to review and manage the dredging plan at Brighton Marina for forthcoming years.
Premier Brighton has employed Daniel Thurston as an additional full time Dredge Operator for Doris to assist with the productivity. Daniel said, “I am very keen to start work with Doris and want to be able to make an impact to the marina; dredging is key to the marina and I am excited to be a part of such a big project and to have joined the team.”
