Chichester Marina Welcomes New Lock Keeper!
Chichester Marina is delighted to introduce Peter Ketley who has moved from his role as a seasonal member of staff to take on the role of Lock Keeper. A former ex-Major in the Parachute Regiment, Peter later moved into the textile industry as an International Sales Manager.
Peter’s greatest challenge though started back in December last year when he took part in the Tallisker Atlantic Challenge rowing for 63 days and 22 minutes to cover the 3,000 miles to Antigua. Peter was one of the two members of the ‘Grandads of the Atlantic’ pairing who based themselves at Port Solent for their training. Peter and his partner on the challenge, Neil, set the World Record for being the oldest pair to row across ANY ocean on this amazing feat for charity. Chichester Marina is pleased to have Peter on board as a full time member of the team and look forward to calling on all of his past experiences.
