Boatyard Security Upgrades Update
Works to complete the final stage of the boatyard security upgrades at Sovereign Harbour Eastbourne are underway.
This stage of the project involves the installation of new key fob access control systems to control access to the main boatyard. With an investment of £18,000 from Premier, the vehicle gate entrance for the yard will have new key fob access controls linking to an automatic hydraulic opening mechanism. The pedestrian gates at the front and back of the yard will have a new standard fob access control system, to provide berth holders with easier and secure access to their boats.
External contractors Smart Security arrived on site earlier this month to begin works and are on track to be finished by Friday 25th September 2020.
Daniel Heckford, Marina Manager, said: “We are delighted to enter the final stage of the security upgrades at Sovereign Harbour. This project will complete our yard security upgrade programme and will work well alongside our CCTV systems and the recently installed palisade perimeter fencing.”
