Southsea Marina Angling Club Looking Ahead
Date:
Southsea Marina Angling Club is a friendly group made up of people who fish from boats berthed in the marina. Member meetings are usually at 19.30 on the first Tuesday of every month at the onsite Marina Bar but for reasons of safety and because of the Government’s recent travel restrictions, February’s meeting will take place virtually. This will be an important meeting for the club because the group will hold an election of Officers: Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Commodore and consider any rule changes. It will also mark the start of the club’s annual competition which runs from 1st February 2021 to 31st January 2022, for specific species and highest score. (Participation in the competition will of course be subject to prevailing Government restrictions on travel and exercise.)

The club is a member of the Angling Trust and is awaiting more information on how Brexit will affect future angling.
