Ready For Dredging at Eastbourne

The annual dredging programme at Sovereign Harbour Marina is scheduled to start next month.

The programme will remove approximately 38,000 cubic metres of silt to get the entrance channel depth back to 2.4m below chart datum. Dredger ‘Sospan Dau’ is ready for action and due to commence works from Tuesday 4th May for approximately 10 days, subject to weather conditions.

Sospan Dau will be operating within the entrance channel and all buoyage will be removed to provide easier access to the area. Notice to Mariners will be issued before dredging commences and when the buoyage is removed. Please ensure you regularly check the Notice to Mariners page on our website.
