Project Success for Knight Marine
Knight Marine are specialists in maintenance and repair services as well as everything related to marine electronics and are pleased to announce the opening of their new showroom at Universal Marina for customers to browse a full suite of electronics from all the major manufacturers.
They are also very close to completing the refit of a Formula 242 1990, which will be used as a model to showcase the types of work they undertake and how the latest multifunctional displays and sound systems can be integrated into any boat of any size.
This is project they've been working on for the past 5 years after discovering the boat abandoned in a local field and Paul Knight, the business owner is looking forward to bringing her out on the water this summer: "When we got her, she was a bit of a wreck, so we have extensively refurbished her over the years, from the woodwork to the laminating and the interior, which we did all in-house as a team. We are thrilled that electronic brands such as Garmin and Fusion are here to help us with their latest multifunctional displays and sound systems, and we would be happy to demonstrate how the systems have been integrated aboard to customers.”
Going forward, Knight Marine will be using her as a training boat for their team to gain further product knowledge and demonstrate modern navigation systems to customers. Located in Universal Marina’s dry stack, she will be on display at the upcoming Safety Day on Saturday 23rd April.
