Exciting opportunities for the Falmouth team this winter
This winter brings some exciting opportunities and challenges for members of the Falmouth Marina team.
The countdown is officially on for Duty Manager Elliot Holman and the ‘In Our Element’ rowing team as they prepare for the start of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in December. Rowing 3,000 nautical miles from La Gomera to Antigua, the team are in the final preparations, which they anticipate will take 40-50 days to complete.
As Elliot takes on this challenge, we are delighted to offer Adam Sullivan the opportunity to step into Elliot’s shoes as Acting Duty Manager. Adam joined the Falmouth team at the start of the 2021 season as a Dockmaster, keen to start a new career within the marine industry and very quickly building his knowledge and confidence working in all of the marina and boatyard operations.
Looking to take on even more responsibility, Adam comments: “I am looking forward to learning all about the Duty Manager role whilst Elliot is rowing the Atlantic. I really enjoy my role as Dockmaster and as Acting Duty Manager I will get a further insight to how the marina runs and develop my role and career within the company.”
As Duty Manager, Adam will be responsible for assisting Marina Manager Mark Evans with the day to day running of both the marina and boatyard, handling general enquiries, processing boatyard bookings, managing contractors and helping maintain the safety and security of the site along with many other tasks in the office, outside in the boatyard and on the pontoons.
We wish both Adam and Elliot the best of luck in their next adventures.
