Brighton Marina Notice to Mariners 8 of 2018
Dredging Within Brighton Marina
Mariners are advised that we are dredging the fairways and channels within the main body of Brighton Marina with the suction dredger ‘Doris’.
‘Doris’ is restricted in her ability to manoeuvre. She disposes of dredged material via a flexible rubber pipe attached aft. The pipe runs from Doris towards the north wall of the marina, thence eastwards through the Eastern breakwater. The pipe is inflated and floated each morning around 0800-0830. Vessels in the vicinity of Doris and her associated pipework are to proceed with caution at all times and to monitor VHF Ch 80 and 37.
For advice on entering or leaving the marina contact “Brighton Marina” on VHF CH37/80 or by telephone (01273) 819919.
