Sovereign Harbour Notice to Mariners No 9 of 2020 (Updated 22nd July)
1. Visiting craft
Visiting vessels* can now book to stay overnight at Sovereign Harbour. All visitors must pre-book at least 24hrs before their intended arrival. There is a maximum of 30 visiting vessels at any one time to limit numbers and to manage distancing throughout the marina facilities. If anyone on board develops covid-19 related symptoms whilst on passage or when alongside, you must phone the marina office immediately.
2. Using the locks
The Lock Keepers will be giving directions to all vessels at busy times. Please ensure you maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch17. Observe social distancing, and please do not raft alongside any other vessel.
3. Generic information
Visitors will be given berth information via VHF, rather than in person. Please ensure you attend the marina office between 09:00-17:00 once tied up so that we have sufficient staff available to process your visitor stay. Payment can only be made via card over the phone. Enhanced cleaning is in place with an attended service throughout the three facilities buildings. During busy times, the attendant may ask you to wait outside to manage numbers. Social distancing signage and distance markers are in place and must be followed.
*Visiting vessels from within the UK or from a Country or Territory currently listed as exempt from self-isolation may visit the UK. Please ensure you follow the current advice at https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus.
