Security Upgrades For Boatyard
In April works will commence to further upgrade the security in Sovereign Harbour Eastbourne Marina’s boatyard.
New high level lighting has already been replaced in the yard to increase visibility. The next phase of the upgrade includes a replacement fence (parallel to The Waterfront service road) and the installation of key fob access control to the front and rear boatyard pedestrian gate. The current fence will be replaced with 3 metre high steel galvanised palisade fencing, to match the other fencing sections in the boatyard; the main vehicle gates at the front of the boatyard will also be installed with access control along with hydraulic gate opening and closing.
Works to install the access control system is due to take place in mid-April with fencing scheduled for completion by the end of May.
Daniel Heckford, Eastbourne Marina Manager commented: “We take security very seriously at Eastbourne Marina. This latest investment project representing £35,000 of physical upgrades for the boatyard is in direct response to customers’ feedback.”
