Safety Improvements at Falmouth Marina
Date:
Works to upgrade the safety ladders in Falmouth Marina were completed last month as part of Premier’s continued commitment to improving safety across all its marinas.
20 new safety ladders have been fitted across the marina to make it easier and safer for boat owners to climb back onto pontoons in the event of an accidental fall into the water. The replacement ladders were supplied by Walcon Marine and installed by the Falmouth Marina team.
The new ladders are made of bright yellow fibreglass and have the extended height handrails, which provides increased visibility to help customers and staff locate and climb the ladders safely.
“These new and improved ladders give our marina team that extra comfort of knowing they are more accessible and visible to customers, especially as we head into the summer season and the marina begins to get busier,” says Marina Manager Mark Evans. “This is a good opportunity for everyone to familiarise themselves of the ladder locations and to review all our health and safety guidance, on the Premier website to make sure we have a safe and enjoyable summer season.”
