Marina Operative - Lock Keeper, Boatyard and General Duties - Chichester Marina

The position of ‘Marina Operative’ has become available at Premier Marinas’ Chichester Marina. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual, with a flexible work ethic, to join a fast paced team on a busy marina in a great location within Chichester Harbour.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to understand and deliver excellent customer service
  • Flexibility and adaptability for both marina and boatyard operations
  • Work under pressure as part of a team or lone working
  • Variable hours
  • Ability to learn and use computer software systems
  • “A can do” attitude and flexible approach to team work

This dynamic role is rotational and focused on managing the Lock, providing cover in the Boatyard and general duties around the marina on a shift basis. The position includes working outdoors in all weathers and in a rota system which will include night shifts, weekends and bank holidays.  

Previous experience of plant operation and boat handling would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given.  A full driving license is essential.
