 Boatyard Operative - Chichester Marina

 The position of ‘Boatyard Operative’ has become available at Premier Marinas’ Chichester Marina. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual, with a flexible work ethic, to join a fast paced team on a busy marina in a great location within Chichester Harbour.

 Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  •  Ability to understand and deliver excellent customer service
  • Flexibility and adaptability to both marina and boatyard operations
  • Ability to learn and use computer software systems
  • “A can do” attitude and flexible approach to team work

This role includes working outdoors in all weathers and will require some weekend and bank holidays working. Previous experience of plant operation and boat handling would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given. A full diving license is essential.

Lock Keeper - Chichester Marina

Premier Marinas Ltd are seeking to recruit a Lock Keeper to work at our prestigious Chichester Marina. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated team who work hard to provide the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following in order to qualify for consideration:

  •  Proven customer service or customer facing experience.
  • Must have a “can do” attitude.
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Be able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Be computer literate.
  • The ability to swim.

The following would be advantageous but not essential:  experience of boat handling and a local knowledge of Chichester Harbour sailing area and cruising grounds. You will be working as per duty rota to include nights, weekends, Bank/Public holidays on a 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift pattern.

Dockmaster - Swanwick Marina

The position of "Dockmaster" has become available at Premier's Swanwick Marina. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual, who can be flexible with duties, to join a fast paced team on a busy marina with a great location on the River Hamble.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • An ability to promote and deliver excellent customer service
  • The flexibility and adaptability to both marina and boatyard operations
  • The ability to learn and use computer software systems
  • “A can do” attitude and flexible approach to team work

This role includes working outdoors in all weathers on a shift rota which will include some weekends, bank/public holidays and night shifts. The normal shift pattern will be 4 x 12 hour day shifts (7am-7pm) on and 4 days off followed by 4 x 12 hour night shifts (7pm-7am) on and 4 days off – this is however subject to change due to seasonal requirements and business needs.

Previous experience would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given.

A full diving license is essential.
