Boatyard Operative - Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne

The position of Boatyard Operative has become available at Premier Marinas’ Sovereign Harbour. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual, with a flexible work ethic, to join a fast paced team on a busy marina with a great location.

Sovereign Harbour has purpose built boatyard operating specialist plant to include a 60 ton travel hoist. The boatyard team also tow vessels within the marina and provide an out of hours emergency lift service on a rota basis.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to understand and deliver excellent customer service
  • Flexibility and adaptability to both marina and boatyard operations
  • Working knowledge of vessel design and keel types
  • Previous hands on vessel experience, ideally including towing of vessels
  • Experience of operating plant and machinery
  • Ability to learn and use computer software systems
  • “A can do" attitude and flexible approach to team work
  • This role includes working outdoors in all weathers and working some weekends and bank holidays

Previous experience would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given.

A full clean UK driving license is essential.

Boatyard Supervisor - Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne

The position of Boatyard Supervisor has become available at Premier Marinas’ Sovereign Harbour. This is a great opportunity for a customer and team focused individual, with a flexible work ethic, to join a fast paced team on a busy marina.

Sovereign Harbour contains a purpose built boatyard operating specialist plant to include a 60 ton travel hoist. The boatyard team also tow vessels within the marina and provide an out of hours emergency lifting service on a rota basis.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven customer service delivery
  • Leadership of a small team within a physical setting
  • Previous mentoring and coaching responsibilities
  • A working knowledge of LOLER and PUWER
  • Experience of operating plant and machinery
  • The ability to give guidance on vessel design and keel type in regards to lifting techniques
  • Experience of planning, resource allocation and problem solving both proactive and reactive
  • Ability to learn and use computer software systems
  • “A can do" attitude and flexible approach to team work

Customer Service Advisor - Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne

The position of ‘Customer Service Advisor’ has become available at Premier Marinas’ Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual, with a flexible work ethic, to join a fast paced team on a busy marina in a great location.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to understand and deliver excellent customer service
  • A good understanding of enquiry and sales handling
  • Ability to learn and use computer software systems
  • “A can do” attitude and flexible approach to team work

Although this role will be primarily office based it will also include some outdoor working and the rota will provide for alternative weekends and some bank holidays.   Experience and a knowledge of boating would be beneficial but not essential as training, where required, will be given.

Summer Seasonal Staff - Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne

Premier Marinas operate the marina and the Waterfront at Sovereign Harbour and are once again taking applications for summer seasonal staff. This is a great opportunity to gain an insight into the marine and leisure sector, to join a fast paced team on a busy marina in a great location.

Seasonal staff roles include:

  • Responding to customer requests around the marina
  • Basic grounds maintenance and upkeep
  • Assisting the operational team where required

The Summer Seasonal Role is temporary until the end of September, with hours set as per the duty rota. Shifts are usually available up to 8 hours in durations between the hours of 07:00 and 23:00 7 days per week.
