An opportunity has arisen for a Seasonal Night Marina Operative to join the team at Premier Marinas.
Whether you’re building work experience or seeking a part-time role this position could be for you. You will be part of a dedicated and friendly team committed to delivering high standards of customer service while ensuring the marina remains safe, secure, and well-managed overnight. This position is important to provide cover for colleagues for annual leave or other short term absences.
Our customers rely on us to provide a safe and secure environment. The role involves regular patrols of the marina and boatyard, carrying out safety and security checks, monitoring access to secure areas, and overseeing CCTV systems.
While the role is based at Southsea you may also be asked to provide cover at our other marinas within the Portsmouth and Southampton area.
What we’re looking for
Candidates should have:
- A flexible attitude and be happy to work irregular Night shifts by arrangement
- Proven customer service or customer-facing experience
- A “can-do” attitude with a flexible approach to teamwork
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Confidence in learning and using computer-based systems
- Full UK driving licence
Previous experience in a similar role, along with knowledge of boating and local cruising grounds, would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided. We are committed to supporting your development and helping you reach your full potential.
Working Hours
You will work 12-hour night shifts, which may include weekends and Bank/Public Holidays. The role will also require occasional day shifts, e.g. for training.
