Pile Replacement Works at Southsea

This month will see the completion of a project to repair two of the marina's piles.
Our contractors Baker Trayte Marine Ltd will cut two of the piles on pontoons E and G at low water level and rebuild a new top portion on each. The replacement pile operations will ensure the integrity and safety of the marina infrastructure, as well as improve pile visibility for our marina users.
Peter Pring CMgr, Marina Manager said: “The upgrade to these piles shows Premier’s continued commitment to investment into Southsea Marina and to keep improving the marina and the experience for all our customers.”
The works are expected to take up to five days to complete but disruption during this time will be minimal. All the marina and channel piles are regularly inspected and any works required will always be acted upon accordingly.
