Restart a Heart is a UK-wide campaign led by the Resuscitation Council UK that takes place every October, aiming to teach more people CPR and defibrillator awareness, so that someone who suffers a cardiac arrest has a better chance of surviving.
Learning CPR is an invaluable skill and could make the difference in saving someone’s life.
If you would like to learn basic life support techniques, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator and build your confidence on how to act in the event of an emergency, we are hosting free Restart a Heart events for berth holders this October:
Monday 12th October – The Crate Trafalgar, Trafalgar Wharf, PO6 4PX
Each session will run from 9:30am to 11am, with attendees to arrive from 9am.
This is a free event for berth holders to attend on a first come first served basis, with individual reservations to be made online via Eventbrite for the session at Trafalgar Wharf.
Attendees can also take advantage of a dedicated offer on hot drinks and snacks to stay fuelled up for your CPR training.
Each Restart a Heart session will be hosted by Liz Baugh, a Fleet Medical Director with over 27 years experience working across the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy, Offshore, Expedition Cruise and Superyacht sectors.
Comfortable clothes are recommended if you wish to take part in the practical element of the event.
