Easily found on the East bank of the Medina River, framed by the iconic Osborne House and just a short stroll from the busy yachting town of Cowes. Things to do in the local area

Nearby, the quaint town of Cowes is easily accessible on foot using the chain ferry or by water taxi over the summer months. Spend an afternoon enjoying thriving cafés, restaurants and shops. Close to the marina in East Cowes you'll find a Waitrose supermarket and the famous Osborne House, Queen Victoria's former residence, and at the marina the delicious restaurant The Lifeboat. Just two miles south of East Cowes, you will also find the well-known restaurant, The Folly, with stunning sea views and a secluded feel.

Places of interest 

Locally, there is a wide range of fascinating places to discover, from the Cowes Maritime Museum and the Cowes Heritage Centre, both of which explore the Island’s rich nautical and shipbuilding heritage, to Northwood House and Park, a beautiful Victorian house set within parkland that is perfect for exploring or enjoying a relaxed picnic.

For breath-taking views, the Island is surrounded by scenic coastal paths, and at Egypt Point you can soak in sweeping views across the Solent.

From East Cowes you can head to the nature reserve of Newtown Creek, where you can anchor and enjoy the idyllic estuary, its small beach and abundance of wildlife. Further on, Yarmouth and its selection of small shops and quality eateries is ideally placed for a scenic cruise to the Needles.

Make use of your visitor nights, head into The Solent, Southampton Water and an array of classic cruising destinations all easily accessible. From our marinas on the River Hamble you can enjoy the natural delights of Beaulieu River, with a meandering river cruise up to Bucklers Hard, where Nelson’s warships were built. Lymington and Poole also make great destinations. The Hut, Colwell Bay’s fantastic restaurant on the beach, even offers a RIB service to collect you from your boat.
