An opportunity has arisen for a Marina Operative to join the team at boatfolk’s Royal Quays Marina, North Shields, on a part-time weekend basis.

This is a varied and practical role supporting the day-to-day running of one of the North East’s busiest marinas. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of duties including customer service, fuel sales, boat handling, berthing support, site inspections, general maintenance, and helping ensure the marina is safe, welcoming and operating smoothly

No two days are the same, so this role would suit someone who is practical, adaptable, safety-conscious, and confident dealing with people, with a genuine interest in working in a marine environment.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in a practical, hands-on operational role
  • Confidence working outdoors in all weather and undertaking physical tasks
  • Comfortable dealing with customers and using IT Systems
  • Experience within a marina, boatyard or maritime environment is desirable
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2, equivalent qualifications or other marine qualifications are desirable
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
