The position of Night Marina Operative (part time) has become available at Southsea Marina.

You will be joining a dedicated team who work hard to provide the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction.  Our customers rely on us to deliver a safe and secure experience.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following in order to qualify for consideration:

  • Proven customer service or customer facing experience
  • A “can do” attitude
  • The ability to work alone but also as part of a team
  • Be able to stay calm under pressure
  • Be computer literate

Experience of boat handling would be advantageous but not essential. Previous experience in a similar role would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given. In all cases we will support you to grow your skills and assist you to reach your potential.  

Expect to spend some time patrolling the marina conducting safety checks and observing access to secure areas. Monitoring CCTV is also a key part of this role.

You will be working 12-hour night shifts as per the duty rota which includes some weekends and Bank/Public holidays. For clarity, this is a part time position working 1,004 hours per annum, on a ‘2 on 6 off’ rota with additional cover shifts available where required.
