Warm Welcomes and Heartfelt Goodbyes
We are delighted to welcome Vikki Burridge to the Gosport Marina team as a Night Marina Operative. Vikki joins us from our sister Haslar Marina where she has worked for four years and is excited to be taking on a new role and meet new customers here at Gosport. Vikki is passionate about boating and enjoys getting out on the water and cruising over to the Isle of Wight.
As we welcome Vikki, we also say goodbye and good luck to Jamie Savill as he takes on a new role at Premier’s Trafalgar Wharf.
Investing in Gosport Marina
Over the winter we’ve continued investing across the marina, including new decking works at the Boathouse and progression on our new customer facilities. Electrical upgrades across the site are ongoing, along with improvements to Wi-Fi coverage, helping provide more reliable services throughout the marina ahead of the busy spring and summer period.
Demolition works of the old STS Defence building will begin soon, marking an important step in improving the site and making better use of the space for the future. While the demolition works are underway and as we begin lifting boats into the boatyard and car park areas, parking will be tighter than usual this year. We kindly ask that you please bear with us during this period and allow a little extra time when visiting the marina. We will do everything we can to minimise disruption and keep you updated as works progress.
Boatyard and storage plans
We’re pleased to report that the Vermeer crane will soon be back operational, allowing us to offer quicker turnaround times for smaller craft and improve flexibility for lift-outs and servicing. We are also creating additional space for storage ashore and parking in the long term, helping us better support boatyard services and improve access around the site.

The event will be held at The Creek and in a large outdoor marquee to enjoy al fresco dining and dancing. Additional drinks can be purchased at The Creek’s fully stocked bar.

Gosport Marine Festival
Set against the stunning backdrop of Haslar Marina, Gosport Marine Festival brings a full day of seaside celebration, adventure and entertainment for all ages on Saturday 16th May.
Expect a packed programme of hands-on activities, fascinating visits from historic vessels, and plenty of opportunities to explore life on and around the water.
Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or simply love the sea air, there’s something to spark everyone’s interest including:

Prepare for the season ahead with Nomad Sailing
Nomad Sailing are offering a 10% discount to Premier berth holders on their RYA Diesel Engine Course on Saturday 25th April. This one-day course will teach you the principles of a diesel engine, learning how it operates and what you can do to rectify common problems, as well as covering winter maintenance and laying up procedures – all wrapped up with an official certification. Explore a membership with Haslar Yacht Club
Haslar Yacht Club (HYC) extends a warm welcome to all Premier berth holders and invites you to join the club. HYC is an active cruising club with a full programme of rallies, events, talks, socials and training for both sailors and motor boaters throughout the year. With an annual membership of just £45, members get access to all events and have a dedicated ‘members only’ webpage and WhatsApp group to share information, stories and photographs - find out more.

Universal Marina invites you to a Flare Amnesty and Open Day
Prepare for the season ahead by joining us for a Flare Amnesty and Open Day at Universal Marina on Saturday 11th April.
Bring your flares along to have them checked and disposed of safely by experts Seago Yachting, get your lifejacket checked for free by the local RNLI Water Safety team and the onsite businesses at Universal Marina will also be hosting an Open Day for you to explore their services and offers. Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix – 25th to 26th July
SailGP’s fast and furious racing returns to Portsmouth this summer, with fans set to be wowed for a second year running as the flying fleet of 12 F50s battle it out for victory in the tumultuous waters of the Solent.
