Boatshed Refurbishment Complete at Eastbourne Marina
The week of 7th August saw the completion of Eastbourne Marina's boatshed refurbishment.
Representing a total investment of £20,000, these works include upgrades to power distribution; with three 32 amp marine sockets installed alongside a 3 phase 415 volt 63 amp outlet for commercial applications at the marina.
New lighting has been installed, both in the roof of the shed for deck illumination and around the internal perimeter of the shed to give even lighting around and under boats. CCTV has also been installed, along with new steel external doors with combination code locks. The last aspect of this project were the cladding works, which are now complete.
Eastbourne Marina Manager, Dan Heckford commented: “We have been working in the shed for the last few months, installing upgraded power and LED lighting. The external cladding to the doors has now been replaced completing the refurbishment project. Of the marinas on the South Coast, between Brighton and Dover, Sovereign Harbour is the only boatyard with a dedicated boatshed. Undercover storage rates start from £3.00 per meter per day. For customers, being undercover out of the weather can dramatically speed up repair times and reduce time ashore.”
