Join A Rally With Portsmouth Sailing Club
Portsmouth Sailing Club is looking forward to celebrating its Centenary this year with an extensive sailing programme including the spring and autumn Spithead Series; this is a refreshed version of the renowned Parhelion Series.
The series consists of five races, fun and competitive, running over five Saturday mornings - 21st and 28th March and 4th, 18th and 25th April.
On each day there will be two races with a start time of 10:15, finishing by 14:00. Each race is around 90 minutes and starting within 15 minutes of the Portsmouth Harbour entrance. With numerous marks providing plenty of short legs and action, this two race format provides a great opportunity for some local racing.
The club is keen to attract newcomers, especially those without racing experience or competitive crews who don’t want to head all the way to the central Solent and Hamble. The race fees are £150 for the series, though there are discounts for early payment, Portsmouth and Harbour Sailing Club members and newcomers.
