Improved Boatyard Security
This month saw upgrades made to the security in Brighton Marina’s boatyard. Along with the installation of a third CCTV camera, an additional gate has been installed to the access area next to the boatyard with anti-climbing spikes, and roller barriers fixed to the perimeter walls.
In addition to the new camera, existing CCTV cameras in the boatyard have been repositioned and elevated so that they have wider coverage and are focused on the gate entrance; supported by a 24 hour recording system located in the Marina Reception.
Mike Hatch CMM, Marina Manager at Brighton Marina said: “Security at the marina is paramount to us. The use of CCTV is extremely important for operational efficiency and the new roller fencing and key fob access control gate acts as an effective and immediate deterrent from vandalism. I am extremely pleased that we’re able to implement these upgrades to improve the security of the boatyard in time for winter.”
