Port Solent Marina is in the festive spirit and we want to share our thanks and gratitude to you for being a part of the community we have built here.
If you’re planning to visit the marina during the holidays, our team will be on duty should you require any assistance and please feel free to drop by the office to say hello, especially if you're visiting on your own.
We want to take a moment to reflect on the 2025 boating season and look ahead to what 2026 brings us.
One berth. A whole new South Coast network.
Haslar Marina is now officially part of the Premier Marinas network and you can now request your Premier Advantage visitor days and nights here for 2026. This exciting milestone follows our recent acquisition of Boatfolk and adds another destination for you to enjoy.
We’re also working to bring East Cowes, Portland, Weymouth and Deacons marinas into the Premier network ahead of the 2026 season and thereby creating the largest South Coast network for you to explore.
Warm Welcomes...
We are delighted to introduce two new members to the Port Solent team – Harry Saunders and Pete Stokes. Harry has worked in the marine industry for the over 15 years and has covered most of the Solent marinas in varying roles including lock keeper and boatyard operative to building luxury yachts and managing the commissioning and aftersales for a RIB dealer. Harry also owns a drone business and filmed for SAGA Mercedes and Fastnet Boat Sodebo 3 earlier this year. Having recently taken up kite surfing again, if he’s not filming on the water, kite surfing through the water or driving over it, then he’s here working next to it.
Peter joins us with a raft of experience from his years working for Santander supporting customers with savings accounts, mortgages and lending. He has also worked on large lobster, crabbing and oyster boats out in the Solent and Hamble and has been part of a small Tall Ships crew sailing 2000+ miles up The North Atlantic from the Azores to the West Coast of Scotland. Outside of work, Peter enjoys spending time with his two fantastic and very energetic dogs – Zorro and Buddy – who live for chasing seagulls along Lee on the Solent beach.
...and Fond Farewells
We also want to share the wonderful news that Tory Hackman will be going on maternity leave from Christmas Eve! Congratulations Tory, we can’t wait to meet the newest member of the Port Solent family.
In Tory’s absence, Neil Hall will be stepping into the Duty Manager position and Charlie Norris-Jones will be covering as Boatyard Administrator – an exciting time for all!
Our marina team is already busy with our annual winter maintenance schedule, so we can make sure the marina is ready for next spring season. Works include pressure washing all the pontoons, boatyard groundworks and pontoon re-decking.
Port Solent has recently benefitted from a large investment into our equipment and machinery including new emergency ladders, an electric maintenance van and a new boatyard hoist, cradles and motorboat stands – ready to support with all your boat’s winter maintenance in the boatyard.
