Southsea Marina is in the festive spirit and we want to share our thanks and gratitude to you for being a part of the community we have built here.
If you’re planning to visit the marina during the holidays, our team will be on duty should you require any assistance and please feel free to drop by the office to say hello, especially if you're visiting on your own.
We want to take a moment to reflect on the 2025 boating season and look ahead to what 2026 brings us.
One berth. A whole new South Coast network.
Haslar Marina is now officially part of the Premier Marinas network and you can now request your Premier Advantage visitor days and nights here for 2026. This exciting milestone follows our recent acquisition of Boatfolk and adds another destination for you to enjoy.
We’re also working to bring East Cowes, Portland, Weymouth and Deacons marinas into the Premier network ahead of the 2026 season and thereby creating the largest South Coast network for you to explore.
Our marina team is already busy with our annual winter maintenance schedule, so we can make sure the marina is ready for next spring season. Work has begun to conduct a full, site-wide pressure washing programme to improve cleanliness, safety and presentation across the pontoons, walkways and hardstanding areas.
We are delighted to welcome three new members to Southsea Marina – Hannah Dyer, Lisa Chittock and James Atkins, all bringing a breadth of skills, experience and personality to the team and providing our continued first-class customer service.
We also want to take a moment to pay our respects to the wonderful Jacqui Dowding, who recently passed away. Jacqui was an all-round good egg and social conscience of the marina and will be greatly missed.
2025 has been a busy year of investment and development at Southsea with a number of projects complete including replacing the hoist bay working pontoon, pontoon safety boxes and boat mover; upgrading CCTV cameras, the sewage system and the boatshed doors and windows; refurbishing the main building exterior, repainting the hoist and installing a new depth display.
We also carried out our five-year cill gate maintenance shutdown to ensure a continued smooth navigation in and out the marina.
Marina Morning Meetup
Thank you to everyone who joined our autumnal morning meeting at The Marina Bar in October. It was a great chance to catch-up with members of our community over a hot drink, breakfast bap and live music. We look forward to hosting another event before the season starts.
Sail GP returns to Portsmouth Harbour
Following the success of this year, the Emirates Great Britain SailGP will return to Portsmouth Harbour in July 2026, bringing heart-pounding action right on the doorstop of Southsea Marina.
An incredible spectacle for the world of boating and a weekend full of entertainment on and off the water.
With the anticipated increase in marine traffic during this period, we will issue further operational updates closer to the time.
